SETDA National Leadership Institute Toolkit

The NCLB MATRIX

SETDA has an opportunity to create a set of common data elements, a subset of which are expected to be endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education as the metrics for assessing state progress with NCLB, Title II, Part D. The grid below outlines the goals and purposes of NCLB, Title II, Part D, and cross matches each requirement to the data elements that will track states' progress in meeting that requirement. SETDA recommends that the U.S. Department of Education identify a subset of these key questions (with associated indicators and common data elements) as the basis for the federal compliance reporting for NCLB, Title II, Part D.
