What is needed from U.S. Dept of Education and RTECs to support SEAs and LEAs in conducting scientifically based research?

  1. The downside of attempting studies like the eMINTS program has done on a statewide scale is that the effort is very expensive. If the burden of conducting comprehensive studies is placed on the states alone, SBR in education technology may never become a reality. States and districts need financial support from the USDOE to implement this kind of research.
